I got 2nd at Swedish Cross Country Champs yesterday! Pretty satisfied even though it was a bit enoying that eventual winner Mattias Wengelin got away in the beginning. I had to start in 3rd row so I never got the chance to get on his wheel. I got as close as 10 seconds but I couldn’t close the gap. That’s life! I did what I could for the day so I’m satisfied with that. He’s a worthy winner, so congrats! Mattias Nilsson was third. Big favorite Emil Lindgren didn’t start.

Big thanks to everybody that came out and cheered and also to my friends and family who helped out in the feed and tech zone!

Next up is Trans Rockies, starting saturday the 27th and ending august 2nd.

YES!

Right after the swedish XC Champs this saturday I´ll be doing The Trans Rockies Challenge. It´s a 7 day stage race in the Canadian rockies from July 27 to 2nd of August. Its gonna so much fun riding the best single tracks in the world for 7 days straight. It starts in Fernie, British Columbia and finishes in Canmore, Alberta. I´ll compete in the solo category. It´s a full service race, which means you get bottles and food from the feed stations along the course, so no need for a support crew. Which helps a lot. For the first 3 days the race is around Fernie, where we´ll be staying in hotels. Then for the last 4 stages everybody stays in tents provided by the organizer. So a bit of an camping adventure aswell:-)

My buddie Edvard Wendelin will join me so that´ll be fun!
